Austin's Viva Divas Awards Event 2010

 

Did you know that Viva Chocolato was built and finished-out by 14 local, woman-owned businesses? Since then, we have been highlighting 10 new local, woman owned businesses and non-profits in the Austin area.

This year, Austin's Viva Divas 2010 Awards Event will be held March 3rd, beginning at 5 pm at Viva Chocolato for a Pre-Event VIP Cocktail Reception featuring wine, cheese and chocolate. We will progress to the NEW Gloria's Restaurant at the Domain at 6 pm for appetizers and Awards Recognition. Emcee Melinda Garvey, founder and owner of Austin Woman Magazine, will be honoring the winners with a prize package from select Domain retailers. Winners will also receive published recognition.

Tickets can be purchased for $15 per person beginning February 17th, 2010 at Viva Chocolato at the Domain and include access to the Pre-Event VIP Cocktail Reception at Viva Chocolato and the Awards Event at Gloria's. Tickets can also be purchased prior to the event at Viva Chocolato.

A Heart for Haiti @ Viva Chocolato – 11am-11pm
Join Viva Chocolato's event, "A Heart for Haiti" as we bring our community together to help those in need after the devastating tragedy in Haiti.

We are currently gathering raffle donations from our neighborhood retailers at the Domain for a raffle to be held at Viva Chocolato on Feb. 13th. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each, at Viva Chocolato and participating retailers from 2/1 – 2/12 and the drawings will be held every hour at Viva Chocolato from 11am – 11pm on Sat., Feb. 13th! You need not be present to win and 100% of monies raised go to Direct Relief International, currently in Haiti providing relief and recovery for the many hurting people there. www.directrelief.org/

We are also, gladly donating a percentage of sales of all of our heart-shaped chocolates (including our Tito’s Temptation Truffle), between NOW and the end of February, up to a $10,000 donation, of which 100% will go to Direct Relief International. Your love counts twice when you purchase your sweetheart’s Valentine’s chocolates at your locally-owned but globally-minded Viva Chocolato.

Viva Chocolato! announces its premier Cocoa Couture Contest and Silent Auction's Cocoa Couture for the Cure, starting on March 27 at noon. Terri Gruca from KVUE, Pat Sharpe - food editor from Texas Monthly, Master Chef Alain Braux and Melissa Adams are judges for the Cocoa Couture entry/donations on Saturday, March 28, at 6:30pm.

The Women’s Symphony League of Austin Meets at Viva Chocolato!
The Women's Symphony League of Austin (WSL) meets at Viva Chocolato! on Jan. 12, 2009 between 11am and 1pm. We will help WSLA raise funds for the Austin Symphony. Viva Chocolato's manager, Cyndi, will be the feature speaker.
